Bridgewater Country Estate is a tranquil 16 acre haven situated in the middle of the tourist loop that runs from Auckland through the Kumeu wine district and back down through the rolling pastures of Albany. Bridgewater is a leisurely 35 minutes drive from central city Auckland.

The hidden ceremony spot in our lush native forest will leave your guests with an unforgettable experience as they wide their way through the kiwi bush walk to open up to a magically ceremony area

The elevated, sun-drenched terrace has the most magnificent panoramic views. Overlooking a cute chapel, and beautiful manicured gardens, it will take your breath away.

Beautiful silk flowers are used to bring in the natural surroundings and we work with you to provide a colour theme that suits your individual requirements.

Catering

We are fortunate at Bridgewater to partner with internationally trained chef Rene of Maarte Catering. Rene is passionate about delivering great food. He has been with Bridgewater since 2013 and continues to deliver outstanding food for our clients.

Rene has prepared many different cuisines throughout the world, from Europe to South America, and the South Pacific, which allows our menu flexibility if required. We offer many different style menu options, and are happy to discuss any specific requirements you may have. All our food is prepared and cooked onsite.

NOTES FROM THE GUESTBOOK

We had our wedding at Bridgewater Estate (Summer 2024) and would highly recommend it to all couples looking for anything in the Bridgewater style.

We were initially attracted to the compactness of the location, with diverse range of ceremony location options (including our desired forest location) and being able to have everything on the day in one location from the bridal suite to the overnight accommodation and all the photos in between.

I could easily see that all their ceremony locations would be wonderful and cater for a variety of tastes. Plus, by having such variety, they provide other beautiful locations on site for pictures which allowed us to be with our guests which we are so thankful for.

Justin, Tracey and their staff are fabulous, the planning process was extremely easy, with very detailed information and quick answers to all of our questions. They are so experienced and the complete wedding package made the planning process so easy! They were also really flexible for our extra requests! All in all, it provided such a weight off our shoulders and allowed us to focus on other details.

During the day, they gave our usher and MC great support and guidance to ensure that the day went off without a hitch. Both we and our guests therefore had wonderful experiences.

Regarding the food, we picked the Grand Buffet option done family style (served to the centre of the tables) as a special request. There were so many food choices it was easy to cater to our range of guests and their dietary requirements. The Kumara Wellington was a hit, even with the meat fanatics, but we had great feedback on the quality and quantity of all of the food! We also highly enjoyed the Bridal Party Basket, as it allowed us to enjoy the canapes whilst off having pictures.

Cannot recommend Bridgewater highly enough. The food, site, staff, owners and process were all amazing! Made it a day to remember.
